Derek Anderson is joining the Arizona Cardinals knowing he begins as the backup quarterback to Matt Leinart with a chance to push for the starting job. Anderson, released by the Cleveland Browns, agreed to a two-year deal.
Free-agent quarterback Rex Grossman signed a one-year contract with the Washington Redskins on Wednesday. Grossman spent last season with the Houston Texans, where he worked with new Redskins offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan.
