Cleveland Browns running back Jamal Lewis was limited in practice Wednesday because of a neck injury… Lewis showed nice bursts of speed while running for 57 yards in the Browns’ 34-20 season-opening loss to the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday. He went down with an apparent stinger in his neck after a 15-yard run in the first half.. Linebacker David Bowens (knee)  wide receiver Mohamed MassaquoiShaun Rogers (foot) were listed as limited on Browns coach Eric Mangini’s injury report.

BEREA, Ohio — Browns coach Eric Mangini said he has not been contacted by the NFL in its investigation about a possible injury-report cover up while he was with the New York Jets… On Thursday, Jets general manager Mike Tannenbaum admitted the team should have disclosed Brett Favre’s torn biceps tendon on mandatory weekly injury reports over the final third of last season. Mangini plans to follow the same procedures with the injury report in Cleveland… “The approach has really been consistent from my perspective,” he said
