Ravens RG Chester hospitalized, may play (AP)

Baltimore Ravens offensive guard Chris Chester has been hospitalized due to a skin infection. Coach John Harbaugh says the starting right guard didn’t practice Friday, but is hopeful Chester will be able to play on Sunday. If Chester is out, the Ravens could go with Tony Moll at right guard.

New Orleans Saints tight end Jeremy Shockey has left the stadium in an ambulance with injured ribs after scoring a touchdown on his 500th career catch. Shockey caught a 7-yard TD pass from Drew Brees late in the first quarter Sunday before he was hit hard by Carolina’s Charles Godfrey

Carolina Panthers quarterback Matt Moore has been replaced by rookie Jimmy Clausen after hurting his right shoulder on a sack. Moore was brought down by New Orleans defensive tackle Sedrick Ellis on third down early in the second quarter on Sunday. Moore was favoring his right shoulder as he jogged off the field.

Cornerback Dunta Robinson returned from a concussion Sunday and was listed as a starter for the Atlanta Falcons. Tampa Bay rookie Erik Lorig, a seventh-round draft pick and former defensive end from Stanford, made his NFL debut as the starting fullback for Earnest Graham (hamstring)

Free agent safety Sean Jones has agreed to a two-year contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The team announced the deal Wednesday. Jones played for Philadelphia last season after spending the first five years of his career with the Cleveland Browns

Colts uncertain about Gonzalez’s injury (AP)

The Indianapolis Colts expected Anthony Gonzalez to replace Marvin Harrison this season. Now they could be looking for a replacement to The Replacement. One day after losing Gonzalez in a 14-12 victory over Jacksonville, team president Bill Polian said Gonzalez sprained ligaments in his right knee and the team is not sure how much time the third-year receiver could miss.
