Buccaneers WR Antonio Bryant who’s still recovering from offseason knee surgery is listed as doubtful for Sunday’s game vs. the Bills… Bryant played last week against the Cowboys, recording two catches for 29 yards, but reportedly was bothered by the knee during the game… For the Bills, CB Terrence McGee is listed as questionable, despite signing a contract extension Friday.

Chiefs QB Matt Cassel hasn’t been ruled out of Sunday’s game against the Raiders but he hasn’t been ruled as “in†either.. Cassel was limited in practice Thursday for the second consecutive day but there’s still no indication from Chiefs coach Todd Haley on the quarterback’s status… Cassel again moved around in practice with a brace on his left knee, but Haley wasn’t in a rush to quantify the QB’s status until seeing more in practice Friday. Cassel was ruled out of the Chiefs’ Week 1 game just before kickoff, but Haley would like to have the issue settled sooner this time  possibly by tomorrow
In Monday night’s game between the San Diego Chargers and Oakland Raiders, the Raiders faced a third-and-5 from the Chargers’ 19 with 0:50 remaining in the second quarter. The ruling on the field was a completed pass for a touchdown…. The instant replay assistant stopped the game for an instant replay review to determine if the receiver maintained possession of the ball after he hit the ground… Rule 8, Section 1, Article 3, Item 1 of the NFL Rule Book (page 51) states that “if a player goes to the ground in the act of catching a pass (with or without contact with an opponent), he must maintain control of the ball after he touches the ground, whether in the field of play or the end zone..
Three Cardinals wide receivers Anquan Boldin, Steve Breaston and Early Doucet are listed as questionable on the team’s final injury report, making a rebound from Week 1’s 20-16 loss to the 49ers even more of a challenge… Breaston was a late scratch in Week 1 because of a knee injury, and Boldin was rather unproductive (two receptions for 19 yards) while attempting to play through a hamstring injury… The Jaguars enter Sunday’s game relatively healthy, but they will be without CB Brian Witherspoon (hamstring).
FOXBOROUGH, Mass. — New England Patriots linebacker Jerod Mayo is wearing a brace on his injured right knee and walking with crutches. Mayo sprained the medial collateral ligament in his right knee during the first quarter of Monday night’s 25-24 victory over the Buffalo Bills and could miss up to eight weeks, the Boston Globe reported

NASHVILLE Tenn.- Tennessee tight end Bo Scaife called James Harrison’s shot on his left leg a “cheap shot” in the locker room after the game. Titans coach Jeff Fisher doesn’t agree… Scaife missed the rest of the Titans’ 13-10 overtime loss to Pittsburgh after being hit by Harrison on the opening drive of the third quarter.
