Ravens RG Chester hospitalized, may play (AP)

Baltimore Ravens offensive guard Chris Chester has been hospitalized due to a skin infection. Coach John Harbaugh says the starting right guard didn’t practice Friday, but is hopeful Chester will be able to play on Sunday. If Chester is out, the Ravens could go with Tony Moll at right guard.

Minnesota Vikings defensive tackle Pat Williams says he plans to play “a couple more years” beyond this season. The 38-year-old Williams is the oldest defensive player in the NFL. He has spoke about contemplating retirement the last few offseasons.

The Indianapolis Colts expected Anthony Gonzalez to replace Marvin Harrison this season. Now they could be looking for a replacement to The Replacement. One day after losing Gonzalez in a 14-12 victory over Jacksonville, team president Bill Polian said Gonzalez sprained ligaments in his right knee and the team is not sure how much time the third-year receiver could miss.

Jeff Garcia, the NFL's version of Rocky Balboa, is back with the Philadelphia Eagles. The team has agreed to terms on a one-year deal with Garcia, a 10-year veteran who played for Philadelphia in 2006 and went 6-2 in eight starts — including the playoffs — while McNabb was injured. The Eagles needed a backup quarterback in case McNabb, who suffered a broken rib in Philadelphia's 38-10 win..
