It was over when … Ravens RB Willis McGahee scored his second touchdown of the game with 38 second left. The teams were locked in a 24-24 tie but Joe Flacco threw a 31-yard touchdown pass to Mark Clayton to put the Ravens up 31-24. McGahee’s touchdown iced the win… Flacco is looking to move past the stigma of being only a game manager in his second NFL season..
Terms weren’t disclosed, but The Associated Press reported that McGee received a four-year deal, according to a person who’s familar with the contract and spoke on the condition of anonymity. “You definitely feel good about your long-term security when you can get a deal like this done but more importantly, it allows you to focus more on football,†McGee told the Bills’ Web site.
Buccaneers WR Antonio Bryant who’s still recovering from offseason knee surgery is listed as doubtful for Sunday’s game vs. the Bills… Bryant played last week against the Cowboys, recording two catches for 29 yards, but reportedly was bothered by the knee during the game… For the Bills, CB Terrence McGee is listed as questionable, despite signing a contract extension Friday.
ALLEN PARK, Mich. The Detroit Lions used an extension from the NFL to sell out their home opener against the Minnesota Vikings and avoid a TV blackout. The Lions on Thursday still had 1,700 tickets to sell by 1 p.m.
EDEN PRAIRIE Minn.  The NFL recently fined the New York Jets and former coach Eric Mangini $125,000 total for their failure to list Brett Favre on the injury report last season while the quarterback suffered from a torn biceps tendon in his throwing arm… So what about the Minnesota Vikings, Favre’s current team
JACKSONVILLE  The Jaguars’ home opener will be blacked out on local television for the third time in the last six years… Because of the slumping economy and last season’s 5-11 record, the Jaguars saw this one coming months ago… The Jaguars lost 17,000 season-ticket holders after last season and that could lead to local television blackouts for every home game in 2009… “We can’t do anything about the economy and tickets; ” running back Maurice Jones-Drew said… “All we can do is win games and that’s what we’re going to do. The sporting world is a great business because when you win, everything else is fine. That’s what it comes down to.
Three Cardinals wide receivers Anquan Boldin, Steve Breaston and Early Doucet are listed as questionable on the team’s final injury report, making a rebound from Week 1’s 20-16 loss to the 49ers even more of a challenge… Breaston was a late scratch in Week 1 because of a knee injury, and Boldin was rather unproductive (two receptions for 19 yards) while attempting to play through a hamstring injury… The Jaguars enter Sunday’s game relatively healthy, but they will be without CB Brian Witherspoon (hamstring).
